Poetry in Motion

I just have to tell you that the thingy I wrote for Jenn was not a poem. I had one girl ask me about it. Jenn is my cousin, and she had done this incomplete sentence thing that said things like "I hear...I feel" and then she filled in the blanks. So she asked me to do it, too, and that is what that was.
Just so you know, my poetry isn't quite that style! I do like some poetry, but I don't like flowery nature stuff. I don't like most abstract stuff, either. I like poetry that makes me think. I rarely write it anymore; the Muse is not given to visit. Maybe one day I shall publish one here, and you can all have a chuckle. But not today.

So it's Friday morning, and I am drinking my coffee. I have no idea what the plan is for today. Apparently I should clean.
Yesterday, I started moving furniture in the living room so that I could vacuum and dust and get a new look. In the middle of my project, people began stopping by.
A steady stream of people.
You wouldn't believe how many people drop in my house during the day, unless you've actually seen it....The point being that I need to put my living room together.
You didn't think that was going to be the point, did you?

Well, I don't always answer my phone, and I don't usually check messages. My return-call-rate is pretty low. So when people need me, they just drop in. I like people, overall. And I like to be social. Truthfully, though, I am always so overwhelmed by all that needs to be done, that I can't often justify making plans. So, I stay home and make a show of doing something, and people come to me. It's really pretty convenient! But I don't get anything done.

I wonder if something wonderful will happen this weekend! Do you ever think that something life-changing is on the brink? I usually think that way. Something amazing is very likely to happen today, or perhaps tomorrow. That way, I am always hopeful and excited and on-the-edge-of-my-seat. Perhaps you can enjoy that mind-set this weekend, too!
Until next time.....

That's a good little trick for staying excited about life. I'll have to give it a try.

Kell, just so you know, in the blog world, the thing I tagged you with is called a meme. If you ask me what it means, I'll tell you I don't know, so don't bother. But that's what it's al about.
