Saturday before Spring Break

Or "How I Spent my Spring Break"
I was helping my mother go through some of her stuff in storage today. She has several years (30+) of stuff. What fun! I found these old record albums that we used to listen to as kids. Do you remember "Teddy Bear's Picnic"? I have an old Mickey Mouse Club album, too.
I found 1980's clothes we used to wear. In public. Eeww.
I found crayon pictures we made for our mommy that she's kept all these years.
And then we got to the good stuff. "Mom, can I have this? And this? And these?" I totally got some great stuff. I got planters for my flowers, and a lamp post for outside, and a bunch of other goodies.
Oh, and she almost lit the field on fire. Opps. I have done that, before, myself.
Actually, she was burning the weeds, as people with property are wont to do. She also inadvertantly burned the entire woodpile. The critters within kept running out where M' could shoot them, so it turned out for the best. Mother is not going to be at all thrilled that I told you about that, but it was too good to keep to myself. You should see her out there with a hose and a fire, just forcing nature to stay under her control. It's a beautiful thing.
The boys and I spent the early afternoon at Eagle Island, which is a lovely state park. I think I have a sunburn! So, that was my day. Now I am off to house church, and I shall (no doubt) have more to tell later!
