Mother's the Prize

SO, I won a prize just yesterday on my friend, Cathy's blog. You can read my acceptance speech in it's entirety in the comment section of her winner's announcement. She offered a real life package in the mail to some lucky commenter on her blog. You should have seen how many comments she got!!!!! I am really not likely to do such a thing on my blog. The fact that two and a half people read my blog would make your odds of winning pretty good, though. I can't imagine what kind of package she is sending, but I will keep you posted.
Mother is moving in with me next Friday. She is transitioning from one house to the next, so she will stay with me for a few days in between. No doubt there will be plenty to blog about! Mother and I have not lived under the same roof in 15 years. And then it was for about a year between my college and my illustrious marriage. I hope that I won't drive her to drink. My plan is to cook for her and spoil her a bit. Doesn't that sound like fun?
And if she drives me nuts, I will simply offer to send her off to one of my commenters, chosen at random. She's never been to Switzerland....

You made me laugh out loud this morning, Kel.

"illustrious marriage"

And then the threat to mail your mom off...

Oh dear. Did I just enter myself in the pool to receive her?

Happy Friday, friend.

I am just amazed that we have Karen and Yvonne reading the blog. Wonder what will be said after the "couple of days" live in and the trip to France. That is close to Switzerland. Ooohhhhh, Kris, that would be so fun.... :) boy I am in trouble now

Guess I am coming in late for all of the fun! I was to choose to travel to Switzerland - I would make it late August or most of September, lovely time of year and fewer tourists.

Generally mother's do not like me however. I do much better with grandmothers and young children. Oh wait, she is a grandmother! heh-heh-heh-heh!

If someone is going to France, my favorite places are Brittany (English is commonly spoken there), Carnac (wonderful pre-historic ruins), Pierre Fonds (Castle Disney actually copied his from) and any place outside of France! Worse places are Paris and the Riviera - of course I realize these are why Americans want to go to France though....then any place inside of France.

And whom is Lynda? I have 5 readers now????!!!!!
