My very favorite part of home education is the organization. I love to have lists and charts and graphs. I love to buy new books. This time of year is the best. I have a brand new chart for chores up on the refrigerator. I have a weekly calendar next to the monthly calendar, all tasks written with the appropriate color of ink. There's a breakdown of each day of the week by hour and task. I have a detailed list of every moment for the first week of school.
It's very satisfying. Very psychotic and controlling.
I do not finish strong, though. By the second week of school we just sort of plug on through the required books. By the second month, we're sleeping in and skipping chores. By Christmas break, I am annoyed enough that I am usually all geared up to organize again. But come Springtime, I peter out. Like, we're done with one book at a time until all motivation slips away.
But, this time of year, I have it all together.

Hey, as long as you have it together at some point in time, you're doing well!
BTW, I think you've gotten the hang of this blogging thing.
