Jane of all trades

In thinking about the odd variety of stuff I've done for hire, I find it's really difficult to put all that on paper. Mostly, I have worked with children. I always wanted to be an actress when I grew up, so I don't know where the kid facination came from. Maybe it's because I never really did grow up.

Around the time the kids were born, I worked for fun as a clown. My name was "Jewel the Court Jester" and I had this custom costume that was pink and purple. I had one of those jester hats with bells on the tips. It was a high energy job. I did face painting, tied animal balloons and did magic tricks. It was hard work! We did birthday parties, and company picnics, and grand openings. That was pretty good money, all-in-all.

Not too many years ago, I taught Etiquette Classes for Children. For the boys, I did a chivalry theme. For the girls, it was all tea cups and doilies. That was a lot of work, but it was a total blast! There's quite a demand for the teaching of manners to little kids. And big kids. I even had requests for a class specifically designed for husbands.

I had a book/magazine job for a while. I was the girl who would take the old magazines out of the grocery store, and put the new ones in. I was so up on all the tabloid gossip. Since I got loads of magazines for free, it's difficult to this day for me to pay full price for those things.

Sometimes I think I am a nanny, but then I look at my paycheck and realise that I work in a daycare. It's my daycare, but it's really not as glamorous as being a nanny. If I marketed myself as a Nanny, folks would pay me lots more, wouldn't they? Remember that TV show where Fran whats-her-name was The Nanny? That's what I could do. Haute couture nanny for hire. That would be fun.

My attitude is pretty good at the moment. I am not freaking out too badly. It's probably got a lot to do with my vigorous workout regimen. Jenine is still making me run and lift weights. I am so glad! That combined with the minimal appetite is getting results. I have lost 8 pounds! Whoo Hoo!
Kara came over yesterday and helped me mess up the garage....I mean, she helped me clean in out. It just doesn't actually appear cleaner yet. We loaded up both Kara's van and Jenine's Truck for a run to the Goodwill. I threw out so much stuff!
Onward and forward we go....

Do you plan on pursuing any of those lines of work again? Nannies do make a lot of money but only if you find really rich clients.

Are there any large businesses in the Boise area you could run a blog for???? Probably agricultural or manufacturing related would be the easiest.
