We don't need no education

Welcome to the first day of....whatever it is we home schoolers do. I am so not ready for this.
I was thinking about the idea of a half day, like they do in the public schools. I'm gonna get me one of those.
The grand plan for the morning, once the coffee kicks in, is to get my children up. I usually avoid that, you see. Left to their own devices, they greet the day more readily than if I shock them into consciousness. Then, it's Bible, Math, Reading, and a few chores. That sounds like a very respectable first day to me. The fact that I've done so little planning actually gives me more flexibility.

The night was long. I woke to a blank text message on my phone about 3:45 am. How do you accidentally send a blank text message in the wee hours of the morning? Who does that? I woke once for a bad dream, and also an inconvenient alarm at 6. I turned off the alarm, and returned to the land of Nod, until the workday arrived at my front door at 7. Can I have a do-over on the whole night's sleep?

Alright, I seriously need to fan those children into flame. Wish me luck.

Had to laugh out loud at your picture of you and Tim.

What a handsome couple you make!

Have you lost weight? Because you look ravishing!

Now - how about a real picture?

I hate text messaging. It is so inconvenient!

Also, I get a nice wake-up call about 5:30 every morning when Baby decides it's time to start the day. Can 5:30 be called "day"?

Ever heard the expression, "Let sleeping dogs lie"? That holds doubly true for children. I cringe when one of them says, "Mom, get me up when you get up." Are they kidding? The whole reason I get up at dawn's crack is so I can have a quiet hour!

Well, hope your first day of school was productive!!!

Bendiciones!
