Yesterday, I had a couple of hours where the universe was aligned, or something, and my entire life flashed before my eyes in a parade of people.
I ran into a woman who used to babysit my sister and I years ago. It was a time when my parents divorced, and my mom had to go back to work. I was about 10 in those days. We chatted, and she asked about my mother. The olden days came flooding back into my mind. It was sweet to see her.
Then, I ran into my 9th grade Science teacher, who actually remembered my name, first and last. What was I in 9th grade? 14? He had to have been 2o-something at the time. He has not aged a bit. That's crazy.
Next, I go to chit-chat with the man I was married to for most of a decade. I was 22+ in those years. He's fine, thanks for asking.
So, there I was, pushing 40 with all my might, and facing several earlier decades. But Tim was there with me, so that was fun.
He got to meet my ex-husband, and Tim was incredibly classy about it. Love him. Come to think of it, Mr Ex was pleasant, too, as far as that goes.
So, it was a past-meets-present afternoon. I am so glad that doesn't happen every day. It's exhausting.

Wow! If you didn't scare Tim away by introducing him to J' then I think that Tim's a keeper.
Plus, when I was visiting Granny and Grandpa once I got to go out to dinner with my 4th grade teacher (from Saratoga) and his wife. It was weird and cool at the same time. That is until they mentioned that they are staunch pacifists and I had to tell them my husband was in the military...
Amazing how small the world can be sometimes.
Now that your 9th grade teacher and ex have checked out Tim, need me to?
:)
