More Lofty Squawking

Oh, I know, let's tackle predestination next!

No?

Imagine that.

I have had a headache for two days straight from thinking too hard. I think maybe I broke something. It didn't help a lot.

I think too much.

My Uncle said something once regarding new Christians. He was talking about discipleship, and how to begin a person down that yellow brick road. He said to have them talk to Jesus, listen to what He says, and obey Him right away. That sounds like a fabulous way to function. Simple, straight-forward, no over thinking.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

The sea is tranquil, though the tide is very high this evening.

There are a couple of nests high in a tree near the house, they are full of squawking creatures with no respectable curfew. I am told the beings are blue herons. I was heretofore unfamiliar with their nesting habits. They create these enormous hodge-podge nests much like Eagles. And there they leave their young to completely freak out. All. Night. Long.

For the moment, it's quiet. The kids are getting ready for bed. The squawking has yet to begin. I am sleepy. Good night, friends.

At Granny and Grandpas there is this crazy Mocking Bird. I know mocking birds have these beautiful songs, but this guys starts at ungodly hours of the morning and keeps it up until lunch time. By then it's gotten a bit old but that's only because I was mad at him at 5 am.

Yes, there is nothing worse than an overly vocal bird! I remember one horrible trip to Jamaica where this one bird would be screaming all stinking night long! Oh how I dreamt to do the most inhumane things to that bird! Grrrrrr!

Thought I would drop by before I sign off for the day and say howdy.....

Hi Kelly,
I have not visited your blog site for a week or so. It has taken me an hour to catch up tonight.
I have no solution to your "cover your head" quandry. But, I would like to point out that no one, from Francis Schaeffer, to Billy Graham, to Chuck Swindoll, to David Roper, no one has all the right answers. Each one of these esteemed men has a wrong view on some point of his theology. The reason being, of course, that Jesus is the only one who had it all right. Martin Luther said the book of James was only so much straw! Amazing! So, my friend, you are in excellent company. Is your heart at peace with God? Then tell Him that you desire to obey Him and allow Him to make clear to you, just what He wants you to do. He will. And in the mean time, you can relax a little ------ sleep with a beer mug, or throw some stones at those noisy birds, or something!
I love you,
