Suave

You and I have talked before about what an airhead I can be. Sometimes it's funny, and sometimes it's downright embarrassing.
Monday morning was very busy because there was a lot to accomplish. I had an appointment with Don, a lunch date with Kara, and I needed a few groceries. Finally, I arrived home in the afternoon, and I jumped into the household responsibilities. Come evening, Tim and I were preparing to take Aaron to his golf lesson. Tim carried the clubs out to the car, popped the trunk....and began unloading the groceries I had purchased hours before. I stood agog, finding no words at all which would be remotely helpful. How does one come home from the grocery store and forget to unload the groceries? How does one do that? Bless Tim for not saying a condemning word. I think that perhaps I may need to worry a little about the other things I am forgetting.

This brain of mine is largely useless. I manage to brew a variety of trouble in there with ease. But ask me to be productive? Not so much. What good is an I.Q. score if I can't stay on task or remember someone's name?
"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind" says the bible. Renewal would be great. If only I could apply a leave-in conditioner that would revive and replenish whatever neural synapses aren't firing!

Someday I'm going to forget something truly important. Hopefully I'll remember about it long enough to write a blog post.
