Boise seems to be a fabulous place to live, if you would like to be murdered. This riverside community seems to be home to a variety of violent offenders.
Lucky us.
There was even a man named (and I am not making this up) "Plentywounds," who was shot 6 times. Truly, I read it this morning in the Idaho Statesman. I wonder if the perpetrator of that crime chose to shoot more than was necessary because of the victim's name?
This is a dangerous place to live!
There's all kinds of debate about what causes little boys and girls to be bad when they grow up. There's a little boy in our neighborhood who dismembers frogs for fun. I think he has repressed anger. Will he grow up to be a Jeffry Dahlmer? It's hard to say.
To quote the infamous fictitious murderess, Roxie Hart, "we didn't get enough love in our childhood." And I wonder why that is.
To blame it on TV, or video games, or Charlton Heston, is downright absurd. There's the whole sin nature thing going on, but that isn't quite sufficient as an explanation, either. Otherwise, there would surely be more madmen.
Where are the mothers? The loving ones, who nourish their infants at their breast, and lovingly instruct them on their knees?
Where are the fathers? The committed ones, who work as hard on their families as they do on their careers?
The children are institutionalized, practically from birth. Mommy and Daddy have important things to do, so the children are neglected in day care. This is so incredibly wrong. We cry about it when we see those orphanages in Romania, but we do the same thing here.
And so we have your sexual predators, your Meth addicts, and your murderers.
Those who sow the wind, will reap the whirlwind.

So, if my name is Collateral Damage, I probably would not want to move to Boise. Is that what you mean?
When children harm small animals it generally a sign they are in need of some serious counselling! These kids often turn out to be quite emotionless and without a strong sense of right or wrong (there is a word for it, I am just at a loss what it is!).
How true about the whirlwind. I fear for our culture.
I don't pay much attention to the news because it tends to be alarmist and then I would live a paranoid life. I figure I'd be happier not knowing that there were X number of rape cases in my town or whatever and just life a happy and alert life (I know it doesn't pay to be happy and oblivious).
And as for daycare. If for no other reason, spare your children the germs!
