Hide-and-go-seek. And go seek. And go seek again.

I did not take photographs of todays shenanigans because I had no time for personal grooming before I dashed off to exploits involving high levels of both adrenaline and disappointment. If you are following the riveting tale of criminal activity in my sphere, then you will understand at once that my errant youth has yet to be apprehended. It does seem that everyone but me is getting a glimpse of him, though, and that hardly seems fair. After all, I am doing all the work here.

I am finding this endless drivel about my fruitless quest to be tedious, so I can't imagine how you must feel. I really need to explore some other options for the daily expenditure of my allotted 24 hours.

Today was not really all a vain mission. I got to spend some unplanned time with my dear friend, Heidi. Heidi was horrified that I would be left to the day's high drama with no suitable companion, so she dropped her household responsibilities and joined me forthwith. She arrived without a stitch of makeup, and sans-shower, so we were well suited. I really should have snapped a selfie of the two of us. I don't know for certain whether my girlfriends are deeply concerned for my sanity in this current dilemma, or whether they are drawn to the danger and mystery surrounding these covert operations in seedy neighborhoods. Either way, I am grateful for the company; it's so much easier to laugh about it all with a good friend.

Prior to all the excitement de jour, I had a lovely new acquaintance over to frolic poolside with her children. Hers are under the age of 7, so they are still really likable. Ann-with-an-E is her name, and she's both young and skinny. I am withholding judgment on those two points until I know her better. So far she seems to be one of those people who has lots of layers; there's much more to her than meets the eye. I already thought of forty-seven things I forgot to ask her after she left today, which means that I'm simply going to have to invite her over again. Next thing you know we'll be friends, or something.

I'm plum wore out, sista. That is all.
